Our Gear

Part of learning how to run is learning what you like to wear. The key is what YOU like to wear..not what people tell you, you should wear.

Shoes:

Rachel rocks the Mizuno Wave Rider 17 (She's very specific)

Sara LOVES her Brooks Glycerin 11s (she did the entire Dopey in them, and didn't regret it)

Attire:

It goes without saying that you should wear what you like. Rachel rocks a lot of  Reebok and Lululemon gear, and Sara swears by Old Navy (particularly their sports bras - as a "well endowed" runner, this one is key!!) Occasionally we match:

If you are unsure of what to wear in what weather check out this great tool from Runner's World

Specialty Gear:

Garmin GPS:
Sara rocks the Garmin Forerunner and Rachel finally got a Garmin of her own to track splits and miles.

Sweaty Bands:
If you don't want your head band slipping...ever, then you need a sweaty band. This headband did not move at all during 13.1 miles.

Balaklava:
During the winter months Rachel wears this great piece of gear. It helps with keep asthma under control and ears warm.
